Fertile Ground Guesthouse

Fresh, organic breakfasts are served on your schedule.

We invite you to visit our evolving site and experience for yourself what a sustainable urban environment might look like. Stay overnight or attend a workshop and spend a few days. Our hope is that you’ll find our home comfortable, relaxing, and inspirational.

Fertile Ground welcomes travelers with a space where they can be themselves.

If you’re already familiar with common environmental practices like recycling, composting and eating organic food, you’ll feel right at home here. If not, we’d be happy to explain their importance, as well as our use of organic bedding, biodegradable detergents and energy-saving appliances.

Fertile Ground welcomes travelers with a space where they can be themselves.

We have one guest room on-site with a super-comfy queen size bed. In common areas there are musical instruments, books and films to enjoy. We also host guests at three offsite locations: the Bamboo Bungalow, the Union Place and the Ground Inn Bunk & Breakfast

Outside, our gardens are sure to delight you. Any time of year you’ll have a fresh organic breakfast on your schedule, not ours. We delight in hosting children with their well-behaved parents. There are toy boxes, swings and other childish delights.

Our rooms offer queen size beds with organic comfort.

We are also part of a 501(c)3 non-profit, because we like to share our resources with our friends and neighbors, too. Find more information about The Commons at Fertile Ground here.

“We were very inspired by all the fellow entrepreneurs we worked with during our E4E training. Everyone envisioned making their dreams come true and worked very hard to achieve them.” – Gail, co-owner of Fertile Ground Guesthouse and graduate of E4E.
