Earth In Heart Studio

When Amanda Roebuck moved to Olympia, she had everything she needed to start her own business: professional experience & education in the field, passion for her work, and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit. With the help of Enterprise for Equity's business training program, she was able to pull all her talents together to create a business plan and put it into action.
Amanda wanted to create a one-of-a-kind bodywork studio -- a uniquely healing environment where her clients could relax and feel nurtured. After finding a builder who specialized in strawbale and cob construction, she designed an earthen room made from environmentally friendly, salvaged, and nontoxic materials, and named her practice Earth In Heart Studio.
Amanda brings an impressive portfolio of skills to our community. In California, she studied bodymind oriented massage, polarity therapy, and craniosacral therapy at several renowned schools, and is also experienced in several other modalities, from acupressure and reflexology to Thai massage and yoga. Her nurturing, supportive manner puts clients at ease, and gently assists them on their journey toward a balance of mind, body and spirit.

Since graduating from Enterprise for Equity in December 2006, Amanda has made the leap to working at her business full-time, and has been rewarded with more clients, and more income. She is grateful for the skills she learned in our program, and has this to say about E4E:
“As a healing arts practitioner and mother of two, the idea of starting and running my own practice was all at once an exhilarating and terrifying concept. I was blown away by the amount of vital information, support, and confidence I gained from this class. This organization is not only helping people realize their own potential as entrepreneurs, but creating a vehicle for highly creative, adaptable and capable people to put their dreams into action. Being a part of this class was by far the best thing I could have done for my business and for myself.”
