Fertile Ground
Guesthouse

There are few things more comforting than knowing your treasured out-of-town guests are being well taken care of during their stay.

Visitors at Fertile Ground Guesthouse enjoy beautiful comfortable rooms, generous organic breakfasts, a sauna, restful gardens and so much more. What these guests are also learning is that the Fertile Ground Guesthouse is the hidden jewel of beautiful downtown Olympia! It truly demonstrates the power and beauty of integrating sustainable lodging practices within a local urban setting.

Gail Sullivan and Karen Nelson understood early on that living sustainably required not only conversation and collaboration but sound action. Gail and Karen completed Enterprise for Equity's business training program in 1999 and through their leadership and passion have supported our community in many ways. They operate the Fertile Ground Guesthouse with energy and grace, truly understanding the value of a restful stay!

The gardens provide a pleasant, relaxing environment.

If you're already familiar with common environmental practices like recycling, composting and eating organic food, you'll feel right at home here. If not, the staff will be happy to explain their importance, as well as the value of using organic bedding, biodegradable detergents and energy-saving appliances.

Come and pamper yourself. Fertile Ground Guesthouse offers three guest rooms with super-comfy queen size beds. In common areas there are musical instruments, books and films to enjoy.

We truly value the contribution Enterprise for Equity has made in our lives and in this community - and we enjoy staying connected and buying products and services from business owners who have graduated from E4E's business training programs.
