Living Spirit Yoga
|
For Nathan Hayes, yoga, like life, is alive, continually growing, changing and evolving.
Students often remark about the freshness, creativity and breadth of experience they find in Living Spirit Yoga classes. "What I teach," says Nathan, "is both a reflection and a product of my own yoga practice".
"A well-designed yoga class is like a symphony," says Nathan. "I like to establish two or three separate themes, embellish and deepen each one, and then weave them together in some kind of culminating pose or experience. As a result, the classes tend to be well-balanced and integrative."
Students entering the light and spacious studio are invited to experience Living Spirit Yoga, a fully integrated and deeply transformational style of Hatha yoga developed by Nathan. His approach honors the rich traditions of Kripalu, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga while bringing a modern approach to this ancient practice.
Having studied with many of the country’s foremost yoga teachers, Nathan was ready for guidance and a sense of focus to assist him in managing the business aspects of operating his own yoga studio. Completing Enterprise for Equity’s business training program helped Nathan invest the same amount of energy in his business strategy as he did with the flow of his teaching philosophy. That investment has yielded results.
Living Spirit Yoga is now in its third year of operation, and growth continues at an exciting pace. Nathan has been able to turn greater attention to one of his goals: taking students into a deeper practice. Concerns about numbers have fallen away and created space for mentoring and the enduring philosophy of Living Spirit Yoga—spiritual awakening and personal transformation. As Living Spirit Yoga continues to flourish, so too will the students touched by their experience.
“My experience with Enterprise for Equity was so positive. It was a big up for me. I loved going to the trainings because the information was always relevant and exactly what I needed. It was upbeat and each time I received encouragement and support. I am really grateful for the experience.”
