"Transforming Nature's Gifts into Natural Health"
Megan Hart intended to study art and Spanish seven years ago when she moved from Port Angeles to go to college in Olympia. She knew she would do well in school. It was in her sophomore year when she interned for two seasons at a botanical farm in Poulsbo that everything changed.

It was here that she had the dream of starting her own herbal business as she cultivated, planted seeds, learned outside and harvested organically grown medicinal herbs. She learned the art of creating natural healing medicine from these simple plants: actually developing a relationship with the plants, learning their properties, and making herbal remedies and salves.

Once she had the foundation of her products developed, Megan set her sights on learning everything she could about developing HerbAlchemy as a

business by focusing on her marketing strategies, developing her operations plan, and refining her knowledge of all the financial aspects of running her business. She loves plants and now has a business plan to be profitable doing what she loves.

She graduated in 2005 with an emphasis in ethnobotany and sustainability, and began making her own remedies and healing salves in October 2006. Megan enjoys everything about the process. She grows 45 wild herbs and other plants on her five-acre farm in Shelton, and develops all the recipes for her products!

Experience all of HerbAlchemy products! This company carries 15+ one-of-a-kind herbal and body-care products, including the popular herbal aphrodisiac, Sexy Salve, made from Yohimbe. You can find these products on her website, herbalchemy.net, at the Westside Olympia Food Co-op, and at Fire & Earth in downtown Olympia.

The value I have gotten from Enterprise for Equity has been tremendous; I have created many things including friendships with like-minded people, a strong business plan and most importantly I have created a reality in place of a dream.
