FERTILE GROUND GUESTHOUSE

We invite you to visit our evolving site and experience for yourself what a sustainable urban environment might look like. Stay overnight or attend a workshop and spend a few days. Our hope is that you'll find our home comfortable, relaxing, and inspirational.

Fertile Ground welcomes travelers with a space where they can be themselves.

If you're already familiar with common environmental practices like recycling, composting and eating organic food, you'll feel right at home here. If not, we'd be happy to explain their importance, as well as our use of organic bedding, biodegradable detergents and energy-saving appliances.

Green Lodging refers to hosting practices which support environmental health. We are demonstrating ways to reduce consumption and waste. We love sharing what we know and learning more from our guests.

We have three guest rooms with super-comfy queen size beds. In common areas there are musical instruments, books and films to enjoy.

Outside, our gardens are sure to delight you. Any time of year you'll have a fresh organic breakfast on your schedule, not ours. We delight in hosting children with their well-behaved parents. There are toy boxes, swings and other childish delights.

We are also a state non-profit, Fertile Ground Community Center, because we like to share our resources with our friends and neighbors, too.

We were very inspired by all the fellow entrepreneurs we worked with during our E4E training. Everyone envisioned making their dreams come true and worked very hard to achieve them.
