Since 1999, Profoundia has been offering an eclectic and playful collection of India inspired fashion jewelry and accessories on our website and at trade events like the Portland Gift Show.

Our retail website has become well known for our wide ranging collection of bindi body jewelry and crystal tattoos. Over the last 6 years we have added jewelry, apparel, home decor, and craft items to our offering. In the past three years we have developed a wholesale line of products that we sell to retail store accounts throughout the US.

When I started my importing business 6 years ago, I had a lot of ideas about where we could go with this type of business. I've learned a lot of things on the fly, and it really has been a creative and challenging process at times.

Back when our business was just one year old, someone told me about the Enterprise for Equity program. It took me until 2 years later to actually sign up and I am very glad I did. It was really a lifesaver to have a structured program on the basics of small business management. I keep going back to the topics that were covered in the course.
