The following classes and coaching services are open exclusively to those who live in Pacific County. These workshops are made possible through CARES funding obtained by Pacific County Economic Development Council, as part of the Working Washington Business Emergency Response Grants Program 2.0.

Individual Business Coaching

(Sponsored by Pacific County EDC)

Receive 5 FREE hours with a professional Business Success Coach to help you navigate the needs of your particular business. The first 10 eligible businesses to apply will receive coaching. Application opens on Monday, September 28th, at 9:15 AM.

  4. How many full-time employees does your business have?
  5. What is your business UBI number?
  6. Was your business established (licensed) prior to March 1, 2020?
  7. How would receiving coaching help your business? Describe three goals you want to work on/accomplish in coaching. This is a requirement for your application to be considered.

Assessing Your Business: Where You Are and Where To Go

90 minute class (Thursday, October 15th, 6-7:30PM)

Things have changed radically over the past several months and dramatically impacted business. In this class you will examine the feasibility of your current business and strategies for making it sustainable. You will also have an opportunity to explore alternative products/services or whole new business ideas.

Business Financials 101

4-part class (2-hours per class). (Tuesdays, 3-5PM, October 6-27th)

This series supports small business owners by helping you increase your business financial savvy, so that you can make better business decisions and take home more. In order to access funding resources for emergencies like COVID or for start-up or expansion costs, you have to have your business finances in order.

E-Commerce 101 for Business Owners

   2-part class: Monday and Wednesday, 10/26 and 10/28, 6-7:30 PM

In this course, we’ll talk about your website itself, and the variety of shopping cart platforms that are available. We’ll cover choosing what products and/or services to offer online, and how to present them. In addition, we’ll discuss other online distribution channels, merchant processing, shipping and sales tax, and order fulfillment. And, we’ll discuss Search Engine Optimization across all platforms to support your new or existing ecommerce operation. In addition, we will discuss funnel systems, email broadcasting, and conversion. There will be dedicated time for questions and answers, so that we can address your specific needs.

Social Media and Content Marketing for Business

      2-part class: Tuesday and Thursday, 11/10 and 11/12, 6-7:30 PM

In this course, we’ll cover using social media for business purposes across a number of different platforms, and we’ll discuss content marketing, positioning yourself as an expert, metrics and engagement. We’ll talk specifically about using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter for business purposes. We’ll discuss tools for managing your social media posts in aggregate, like Hootsuite, Buffer, and Tailwind. We’ll have a brief overview of each platforms’ business uses, and provide you with further resources to learn and master any platform that you like.
