US Rake Force is a veteran-owned, regenerative, climate change fighting force. As a Washington Social Purpose Corporation we have a mission to protect people and the planet and to be profitable so we can continue and expand our mission. We regenerate forests by doing fire fuel reduction with goats who eat the underbrush exposing excess wood fuel that is removed by people.
We regenerate agricultural soils with the forest waste by making carbon rich biochar and other mulch products that cover, feed the life in the soil, increase nutrient and water retention, and sequester carbon into the soil where it belongs. The work we do is not only regenerative to the forests and soil, it's regenerative to the soul as well. The work in the forest and on the farm is therapeutic for veterans who have trauma from war.
